My MK3 .177 seems to favour the RWS SuperField 4.51.

At Atherton on Friday I took a sample of around 10 different pellets in .177, shot at 1cm squared paper at 40yds to decide what my MK4 likes best.

In order:
1. JSB Exact Express 4.52
2. JSB Exact 4.52
3. H&N Sniper Medium 4.5?
4. H&N FTT 4.51
5. DS Kaiser (H&N FTT 4.50)
All gave similar groups

RWS Superfield in both head sizes were good.

Salop Sniper bought a 4.52 pellet sizer and resized 10x H&N Sniper Medium, they were terrible, 3x group size.

Well I've tried RWS Superdomes, AirArms and JSBs in my Mk3 FT-R .177
Superdomes - no specific head size. Went all over the place.
AirArms 4.52 - pretty good but sent a few fliers here an there.
JSBs - 4.50s - fliers
4.51 - fliers.
4.52 and 4.53 - LOVES 'EM.

There are so many variations it seems that you just have to try a few makes and head sizes. - and then STICK with em! ;)

I'm a JSB man.

Just had my first range time with my new Wolverine .177 to zero the scope. After using its first 40 pellets to get it zeroed I must say I'm more than happy with getting a 10 shot grouping like this over 25m using .177 Exact Premium Diablo ....

I have just brought a lovely Mk3 FT version b2 I think it has the regulator fitted, I'm looking for the best grouping pellet I've tried Jsb exact and rws superdome both in 4.52 as that was what my HW100T liked grouping was ok but not what I expected should I try 4.51 or 4.53 which would be best?
Cheers

I have now moved away from the RWS to using 4.52 JSB Exact Heavy Diabolo 10.34gr and these group much more consistently with no flyers.
