Fitted Sidewinder 30 using quality scope rings. I am getting very good groups with elevation set at zero, but 9 inch below aim point. By adjusting elevation, the closest I can get is 4 inch below aim point. Some recommendations are to shim the rear of scope with a piece of film negative, would this raise point of impact enough? Is the 9 inch drop too much and would I be better using adjustable scope rings. I am mainly shooting at 25 yards and ideally I would like the point of impact to be very close to aim point when scope is set midway to give me the option of elevator adjustment, any suggestions appreciated.
