Has anyone seen accuracy improvements by lubing pellets? Washing pellets?

Chris, I used to lube for my Mrods and probably shot some through the Regal as well but I gave up on it for the time being. When you have four guns to shoot it's hard to cater to each separately and test everything as needed. They all seem to shoot well without anything.

Jimmy - I definitely value your opinion so thank you. I think I'm going to try it - I figure why not. Maybe I'm just being picky, but I'm trying to find that "magic" pellet again and trying to get my groups to that of a dime at 50 yds., but not quite there:

Well, I had some success this weekend with Ms. Daystate. ☺

I have shot with both lubed and non lubricated pellets of the same brand(s) and to be honest the rifle accuracy was rather better with none lubed pellets, saying that I do offer them a very very light oiling to the point that you barely notice the oil and this seems to have worked a treat for my rifle as the accuracy is still good and my barrel remains clean and consistent.

Not very clear to me. Are you saying that a light lube is better for you?
Another aspect about lube: what barrel is fitted on your rifle?
Unless I misunderstood something, and according to a little sticker at the bottom of my stock, I have a BSA barrel.

What do you guys think of the groups in the second set pics above? Underneath each of the two dimes are 5 shots done at 50 yds. Just wondering what group size is considered good for these guns.

I know I did not make it very clear, basically if I lube to the recommendation of the lubricant the pellets will fly everywhere, but if I just add about one drop and make sure it is well shaken within the tin I get the best of both worlds as in accuracy is still there and the barrel is getting a light coating which will protect it.

I found these groups photos which shows some lubed with great results on the B/W target. 50yds 5 shot groups.
I don't think the orange dot targets were shot with lubed pellets though. I really don't think it mattered on my gun.
