Pellet pouch

Postby ALASDAIR F » 05 Feb 2015, 20:53

I am looking for a good quality pellet pouch. One that I can hang around my neck and have easy access to the pellets. I am fed up of the tin opening in my pocket and the entire contents of the tin lining my pocket :?

I cant help with a pouch but I can help with the tin opening. I use cut down cycle inner tubes as a large rubber band and it keeps the lids on a treat. As a keen MTBer as well it is a zero cost option for me.

If you take a look at Hunters vermin he made a pellet holder out of a bit of old welly boot hung round his neck. Not sure how many pellets you need quick access to but it looked to be a great solution. Be warned of walking and stalking with tins of pellets in your pocket. They make a lot of noise and you can damage the skirts which will cause accuracy issues.

As already stated, Wilkins are the best and seem the most used and likely for good reason!

I have a small one (Pellet Pouch that is) and its alright for not getting in the way but a bit of a pest getting my fat fingers in. So at the shooting show I may buy a new medium one !
